34th Charter Anniversary Party

The Jacobo Zobel Memorial Lodge No. 202 celebrated its 34th founding anniversary last Friday November 28, 2008, at the Club Cafe of the Makati Sports Club. The lodge’s charter was signed on November 15, 1974.

The festivities began at exactly 7:30pm. Celebrating with the members are sisters, guests from other lodges petitioners of the lodge, and a handful of dignitaries.

The event was hosted by VW Mar Remoquillo and Bro. Do Sevilla. It was started by a prayer by Bro. Dodo Asuncion.

The party was openedand guests was welcomed by none other than the Worshipful Master of the Lodge, WM Joe Tranco.

A brief history of the lodge was narrated by Bro. Jing Iya, followed by an inspirational talk by former Prime Minister Bro. Cesar Virata.

Charter member Bro. Danny Jimenez and Past Master VW Ric Valdez talks about how the temple was constructed. VW Harry Gonzalez, addressed the brethren, and talked about the need to raise funds for the maintenance of the Jacobo Zobel Memorial Temple.

Selected brothers were asked to share their thoughts on how Freemasonry affected their life. To name a, few Bro. Dodo Asuncion, VW Fred De Guzman and Bro. Rene Florencio shared their own experiences.

The program was concluded by giving out awards and certificate of recognitions to the brethren who made extraordinary contributions to the lodge.

Food and drinks were served all throughout the night, courtesy of our Bro. George Salvador, General Manager of Makati Sports Club.
